The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Secretariat is the nerve centre of ASEAN. ASEAN Secretariat, with the support of Australia under the ASEAN-Australia Cooperation for the Implementation of the ASEAN Agreement on Disaster Management and Emergency Response (AADMER) Work Programme 2010-2015, is looking for the best, most-talented and highly-motivated ASEAN individuals to work as team members of the newly-established AHACentre for the following positions :

Technical Officer General Administration
Requirement :
  • Degree in Business Administration, Management or an appropriate related field or discipline with a minimum five (5) years relevant work experience in technical role.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and technical skills in the relevant area and ability to acquire them.
  • Proven skills in problem solving in a complex organisational environment and in work planning.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and organise tasks and work flows, with proven ability for accuracy under pressure and adherence to deadlines.
  • Very good oral and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills, including experience in cross-cultural environment and international settings.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain sound working relationships with stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated commitment to collaborative work practices.
  • Competency in computer skills with adequate knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook where relevant to the position.
  • Sound command of English, written and spoken.
  • Monthly salary: starting from IDR 5,000,000.

Technical Assistant Information Technology Systems
Requirement :
  • Bachelor degree in computer science, information technology, information management systems or other related fields;
  • A minimum of 3 years working as IT technical support or helpdesk;
  • Experience in handling general IT administration such as document filing, IT inventory, IT procurement or vendor management is preferable;
  • Sound knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office, Outlook, LAN, Wireless, Internet Technology, Antivirus and Anti Spyware;
  • Customer oriented and good team player;
  • Able to work independently with minimum supervision;
  • Sound oral and written communication skills;
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including experience in cross-cultural environment and international settings;
  • Good command of English, both written and spoken.
  • Monthly salary: starting from IDR 3,500,000.

Requirement :
  • Postgraduate degree in Economics, Management or an appropriate related field or discipline with a minimum of three (3) years of relevant work experience in technical role; or
  • Bachelor degree in Economics, Management or an appropriate related field or discipline with a minimum of five (5) years of relevant work experience in technical role.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and policy, research and technical skills in the relevant area and ability to acquire them.
  • Proven skills in problem solving in a complex organisational environment and in work planning.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, implement, monitor and review policy and procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and organise tasks and work flows, with proven ability for accuracy under pressure and adherence to deadlines.

Requirement :
  • Completion of appropriate diploma, technical or other training relevant to the position and a minimum of four (4) years experience in executive support role.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues at all levels of the organisation.
  • Demonstrated commitment to collaborative work practices.
  • Competent level of oral and written communication skills, including experience in crosscultural environment and international settings.
  • Competency in computer skills with adequate knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook where relevant to the position.
  • Proven ability to maintain confidentiality of matters related to work place.
  • Familiarity with protocol matters.

Technical Officer Transport Facilitation (ARISE)
Requirement :
  • Bachelor degree in Transport Planning, Economics/Science or an appropriate related field or discipline that can support the work on international and regional transport cooperation.
  • Minimum three (3) years relevant work experience in technical role/area related to transport.
  • Technical skills and knowledge in the relevant area or the demonstrated ability to quickly acquire them.
  • Proven skills in problem solving in a complex organisational environment and in work planning.
  • Demonstrates ability to plan and organise tasks and work flows, with proven ability for accuracy under pressure and adherence to deadlines.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, including experience in cross-cultural environment and international settings.
  • Demonstrates ability to develop and maintain sound working relationships with stakeholders.
  • Demonstrates commitment to collaborative work practices.
  • Competency in computer skills with adequate knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook where relevant to the position.
