Corrosion Engineer - Jakarta
Roles & Responsibilities
- Accountable for the adequacy of corrosion rates of all production facilities across COPI asset groups.
- Define the corrosion control and monitoring work program for all COPI asset groups, both onshore and offshore.
- Facilitate the implementation of the corrosion control program in cooperation with the other COPI resources as well as service providers including corrosion control for decommissioning and mothballing.
- Analyze corrosion mechanism and define the best corrosion control strategy for all the production facilities.
- Define the chemicals application strategy and work program for process related corrosion.
- Lead the technical evaluation of all contractors’ proposals related to corrosion management.
- Establish the corrosion data administration system and custody the database.
- Facilitate the corrosion data evaluation and produce the recommendation for improvement and rectification plans.
- Monitor the corrosion control work program implementation to ensure the quality of the delivered services.
- Provide inputs to other disciplines (inspection, process, mechanical, structural, piping, electrical) for corrosion aspects in the design of new facilities.
- Participate in the new and replacement facilities materials selection.
- Provide painting procedure and paint specification.
- Facilitate the painting application quality control in cooperation with field inspectors.
- Provide corrosion control status reports for management.
Qualifications
- An engineering degree (S1) preferably in Chemical/Process, Metallurgy, or Mechanical Engineering
- Mininum 3 years’ experience in corrosion engineering within the petroleum or petrochemical industry. Offshore and onshore experiences are required, as well as environmental (external) and process (internal) corrosion expertise.
- A strong knowledge of metallurgy, electrochemistry and chemicals application are also required. Basic understanding of HSE theory and application is necessary.
- A good understanding of general operations aspects of the oil & gas industry through field development, engineering, construction, operations and maintenance will be beneficial.
- Good spoken and written English as well as the ability to work in a multinational environment both offshore and onshore.

Key Roles & Responsibilities :
Reporting to the Manager Asset Offshore, the successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Developing, implementing and promoting all processes necessary to generate a representative resourced schedule for integrated activities across the asset.
- Providing leadership in optimization and continuous improvement for the development and implementation of the asset’s short to medium term resourced integrated schedule.
- Mentoring/Cross-Training employees and key stakeholders to promote competency.
- Support the policies, goals, efforts, and programs of HSE Management System. Ensure HSE issues are given primary consideration in all activities undertaken within areas of responsibility.
- Knowledge Sharing.
- Lead/participate in reviews/audits of Planning, Scheduling and SAP processes as required.
- Understand and support the integrated Planning & Scheduling processes.
- Assist with the Business Unit efforts with reporting on level of conformance.
- Lead the scheduling meetings and the handover to the functional schedulers.
- Support the development and implementation of the integrated planning and processes, people, and tools across functions. Coordinate and align across organizational and functional groups.
- Effectively use data and planning tools, check data quality and understand inconsistencies, conflicts, and critical path. Use tools to effectively engage the teams towards achieving the planned schedule by creating a transparent best practices and milestone tracking methodology.
- Instigate an integrated approach to risk management and assessment from concept to depletion.
- Act as a point of contact for any queries regarding the medium term integrated planning process
- Facilitate mechanisms to:
- identify and manage constraints (ex. logistics, etc.)
- optimize utilization of resources integrated activities and risks,
- highlight internal and external resource requirements,
- P&S Plan Performance Assessment
- Perform active debriefing and benchmarking in all phases of the integrated planning processes to surface key lessons. Raise awareness of planning input quality gaps with functional planners.
- Check and validate the integrated planning key performance indicators
- Proven experience in integrated planning and scheduling
- Experience with developing, implementing and communicating business processes
- Field operations experience
- Experience in multi-functional environments (e.g. drilling & completions, operations, projects)
